Success at the End of the Day!
I finished a repair on a Carl Ecke grand piano which had previously been restrung by another technician. The brass rail under the treble pressure bar had slipped out which caused a lowering of pitch throughout the treble. I de-tensioned the entire piano and inserted a new rail which I had milled to a half moon profile . In this photo you will see the old rail next to the new one and you may wonder how this was never replaced at the time of restringing!
